Just don’t do that! Washed items are not dry by morning and you only have 1 hour to go out? Relax, we can help you solve this problem.
A familiar situation. First of all, do not be dramatic. If there is no superfluous need to wear exactly the garment you have washed, feel free to put on another outfit. The impromptu will make you look mysterious and charming.
But in the following situations, you really have to resort to emergency measures. Read our recommendations if you really have nothing else to wear or an urgent need:
Suit up for an important event or performance.
Office Uniforms.
Dress for the party.
Jeans and socks for a date.

Precautions
Don’t rush to build a bonfire of friendship in the middle of the room. Read the safety tips:
It is categorically forbidden to dry clothes over a gas burner, in a gas oven. You can not only burn holes in your clothes, but also burn down your apartment.
Do not hang things on electric radiators, heat fans, or heat guns. You can receive an electric shock if the appliances malfunction.
Do not put laundry in the microwave oven. Fibers of the fabric, in the literal sense of the word, are boiled and destroyed.
As for the hair dryer, let’s not forbid its use completely. But always keep in mind that this device is not adapted for drying clothes, it overheats very quickly and fails.
Fast drying methods
Let’s start drying? Which comes first, the shirt or the jeans? Does not matter. First, we’ll call on the elements of nature to help.
Burning sun and frost
On a hot day, light clothing will be dry in just half an hour. Direct sunlight is your best ally in emergency laundry drying.
Hang the garment, spreading it out as much as possible and avoiding overlapping fabrics:
Hang your jeans upside down and secure by the very edges.
Dresses can be pinned at the shoulder seams or at the hem.
T-shirts, sweatshirts, sweatshirts, sweatshirts hang up by the bottom edge. Be careful with delicate knitwear. It’s best not to subject it to extreme testing. Lay your sweater on a towel as usual and wait until it dries naturally.
Spread shirts and blouses as wide as possible and hang them on a rope by their bottom edge, stretching them like a sail. You can dry this kind of textiles on the hangers. This also helps allow maximum moisture to evaporate.
With frost, it’s about the same as with the sun. Hang your clothes and wait until they “freeze”. It will feel dry but firm to the touch. At this point you need to get things warm.
Wind
Strong winds instantly blow all the water molecules out of the fabric. So, you’re in luck if there’s a storm warning outside. In this case, you can fasten the clothes more securely, but still in an unfolded state. Because the more pleats and thickening of the fabric, the less moisture evaporates in these areas.
There is a good chance of drying clothes in the wind, even in rainy weather, as long as you need to eliminate direct rain.
Draft
A variety of house winds. Hang the clothes you need in a draught and, an hour later, you’ll have dry clothes. But this applies to garments made of thicker fabrics. No matter how much you blow on a wool coat, you can’t dry it in an hour.
So, we have smoothly moved into the house. So let’s see what home appliances can help in the fast drying of laundry. Let’s start with the easy ways.
Hot water bottles
There are dreary days when there is no wind, no sun, no frost, just rain. Then a time-tested plastic bottle, or rather 5 pieces, will come to the rescue.
To construct a heat generator, you need to fill the bottles with hot water (not higher than 70 degrees) and put them on the floor close to each other.
Place the garment to dry on top of the bottle battery. If you do it in the evening, be sure to get dry clothes by morning.

Drying with a terry towel and iron
This emergency drying method is best suited for lightweight garments. A blouse, summer dress, and pants will dry fine.
We equip a pair of thick terry towels, iron, hair dryer and, without wasting time, do the following:
On top of the unfolded towel we put the unfolded damp thing.
We roll up a tight roll at the same time as the garment.
Let’s compress the obtained roll along its entire length to let the moisture migrate into the terry cloth.
Unroll the bale and pull out the semi-dry garment.
Begin ironing the clothes, be sure to put another terry towel on the ironing board. If your clothes are light-colored, avoid using a colored towel – opt for a white one.
Iron the entire garment at the maximum temperature permitted for the fabric. Pay special attention to the collar and cuffs.
If tight spots and seams remain damp, hang the garment out for 5 minutes in the sun or dry it with a hair dryer.
Iron again if necessary.
Why can’t we dry cotton jeans in 15 minutes?? It’s all about the layered seams, pockets and waistband. These places are too thick, and will not dry out in a short period of time. But if it’s hot outside and you have no choice, do all the above manipulations and put the jeans on. Rest assured they will dry out on the way to work.
Heat fan
If you don’t have a heat fan, a normal fan will do. The difference is that the heat fan will do its task faster. What to do:
Hang the clothes on the folding dryer, spreading out well. You can use the back of a chair.
Let’s put a fan two meters away from your clothes and turn it up to its highest setting. The flow of air should go directly onto the thing being dried and blow it around like a fresh May breeze.
Thin garments will be dry in 15 minutes. The denser fabrics will take about half an hour to dry. Everything will depend on the blowing temperature.
Washing machine
If your machine has a drying function, then you know how to use this mode. And if we have a standard washing machine with a spin speed of 800-1000 revolutions? In this case, put the garment in the drum and turn the spin down as hard as possible. The centrifugal forces will dashingly pull out the excess moisture and the clothes will be many times drier. If we have time, repeat the procedure twice and iron the garment.
Hand dryer
This miracle-thing is tried and works “happily”. If being at work or traveling, you’ve planted a stain on a T-shirt, and you happen to have the privacy of a washroom that has a hand dryer, act quickly and decisively:
Remove the t-shirt and wash the dirt. Don’t let a big wet spot scare you.
Take some paper towels and blot the fabric thoroughly on both sides.
Now stretch the washed area like a drum and bring it up to the hand dryer. Find the spot where the automatic sensor is triggered.
Hold the garment under the air jet until the fabric is almost dry. By inertia, the residual moisture will evaporate while you put on a T-shirt.

Household hair dryer
With a hair dryer, you can:
Dry socks quickly;
Remove moisture after washing a stain;
Heat the seams, collar and cuffs on the undried shirt.
Precautions:
Do not hold your hair dryer too close to your clothes. This may cause the motor to overheat quickly and the appliance will burn out.
Do not use the appliance near an open water source or in a wet room.
Do not leave a running dryer unattended.
Before you use a dryer to dry your clothes, make sure you really don’t have any removable socks. No one can guarantee that a hair dryer will withstand this load.
So, how to dry socks:
First, wring the socks well, removing as much excess water as possible. You can blot the knitwear with a towel.
Put the sock on the nozzle of the hair dryer (the place where the airflow comes from) and turn on the medium heat.
Hold a hair dryer on with a sock on for no more than one minute.
Repeat the procedure for the second sock.
Hair iron
Well, now that we’ve got appliances, let’s try anything that’s hot. A flat iron (or hair straightener) is a fairly resistant thing to overheating. But we recommend using it exclusively on cotton fabrics to dry seams and thickening. To dry the seams, collar and cuffs:
Turn the appliance on to maximum heat.
Position your jeans or jacket so that the seam is at the fold.
Pinch the seam between the two hot plates.
Dry by slowly advancing the fabric, or dry each area separately by clamping the material for a few seconds.
Dry the collar and cuffs in the same way.
The central heating radiator
Hot radiators are very helpful in the winter. Dry underwear can be removed in as little as an hour. To dry the garment completely, spread it out well, and place the pants or sleeves also on the surface of the radiator, rather than leaving it hanging helplessly on the floor.
For example, to hang jeans, let’s do this:
Take the pants by the top, facing you.
Place the tight part of the belt with pockets in the center on the top plane of the battery.
Spread the pant legs first down the radiator panel, then fold them in half and place the bottom seam on top of the radiator, flanking the waistband of the pants.
Just straighten lightweight clothing on the radiator. Do not use this method to dry wool products. They can lose their shape or shrink. And white garments run the risk of rust stains.
Gas or electric oven
We do not recommend tumble drying near the oven all the time. Use it only if absolutely necessary.
When choosing this method, be careful not to get a grilled dress and not to burn the apartment. In a gas oven, only turn on the lower heat, excluding the open upper fire.
How to Dry:
Turn the oven on and open the door.
Pull a chair with clothes on it up to a distance of at least 1 m from the oven.
Constantly control the drying process, not leaving the improvised structure unattended.
In any unforeseen situations, we tend to give in to emotions and even panic. Doing something rash and then regretting it. So it is in the case of clothes. Uncontrolled emotions can only make things worse, and in a hurry, we can easily ruin a favorite thing.
Our suggested ways of drying clothes in general are safe and fast enough. If you follow the instructions and observe the safety precautions you can easily achieve the desired results.
