Nut – fastening pair element, addition for the bolt, kind of enough belonging. It has a finite size and weight. Like any fastener, the nuts are released by weight – when their number is too large for recalculation.

Nominal sizes

  • M10 – 14, 16 or 17;
  • M12 – from 17 to 22 mm;
  • M14 – 18 … 24 mm;
  • M16 – 21 … 27 mm;
  • M18 – key at 24 … 30.

But M27 tolerance amounted to 36-46 mm by key. The bigger force is attached to the nut, due to its larger diameter of the inner thread (and the outer bolt), the thicker it should be. Therefore, the power supply, the strength of nuts, as they grow, the number “M” is also growing somewhat. So, Nut M30 requires the size of the key interval already in 41-50 mm. Further sizes are lined up as follows:

  • M33 – 46 … 55;
  • M36 – 50 … 60;
  • M39 – 55 … 65;
  • M42 – 60 … 70;
  • M45 – 65 … 75;
  • M48 – 75 … 80, there is no minimum meaning.

Starting from the nuts M52, the tolerance is missing – only the current nominal nomination of the key is introduced, as follows from the values ​​table.

For M56 – 85 mm on the key. The following values ​​are indicated in centimeters:

  • M60 – 9 cm;
  • M64 – 9.5 cm;
  • M68 – 10 cm;
  • M72 – 10.5 cm;
  • M76 – 11 cm;
  • M80 – 11.5 cm;
  • M85 – 12 cm;
  • M90 – 13 cm;
  • M95 – 13.5 cm;
  • M100 – 14.5 cm;
  • M105 – 15 cm;
  • M110 – 15.5 cm;
  • M115 – 16.5 cm;
  • M120 – 17 cm;
  • M125 – 18 cm;
  • M130 – 18.5 cm;
  • M140 – 20 cm;

High strength steel weights the product compared to the usual black steel only slightly.
