To get a polyurethane form, you need to have all the components of the technological process at hand:

  • two-component injection molding compound;

  • Material for frame box – chipboard, MDF, plywood;
  • screwdriver, self-tapping screw, spatula, liter container;
  • Mixer and kitchen scales;
  • Separator and sanitary silicone.

Preparation method.

  • On a sheet of MDF or plywood installed strictly horizontally, laid down tiles of stone. There is 1-1.5 cm gap between each tile, the edges of the shape and the central separation part must be thicker, at least 3 cm. Choosing the most successful location of prototypes, each tile must be glued to the base using silicone for this.
  • After that, it is necessary to make a formwork. Her height should be a few centimeters more stone tiles. The formwork is attached to the base with the help of screws and seal the joints with silicone to prevent leakage of liquid polyurethane. The surface is set and checked by level.   • Two-component injection molded polyurethane is mixed in the same proportions, weighing each component. The resulting mixture is carefully brought to a homogeneous mass of a mixer in a predetermined container and poured into the formwork. The technology requires vacuum processing, but at home there are few people can afford it, so the craftsmen adopted to do without it. Moreover, the stone surface has a complex relief, and a slight spraying of bubbles will remain inconspicuous.
  • The resulting mass is more correct to pour into the angle of formwork – spreading, it fills all the emptiness tightly, alive the air alone. After that, polyurethane is left for a day, during which the mass will freeze and turn into a ready-made form. Then the formwork disassembled if it is required to be cut by a polyurethane or silicone with a knife and separated from the prototype form. Well glued tiles must remain on the surface of the base. If this did not happen, and the tile remained in the form, it is necessary to squeeze it, possibly neatly cut.

Finished form give time to dry, because inside it will be slightly wet – it must be wired and leave for a couple of hours. After that, the press form is ready to use.

When choosing a molding polyurethane, it is necessary to remember: the maximum temperature that it is able to withstand – 110 s. It is used for resins and low-melting metals. But the strength and resistance to abrasive impact makes it indispensable when working with plaster, cement, concrete, alabaster. All these materials in the process of solidification do not give the temperature above 80 s:

  • “ADVAFAF” 70 and “advaform” 80 are used to cast out large-sized products.
