GP-7 gas masks

Modern gas masks, including the GP-7 series, provide the most efficient protection against the effects of hazardous substances and have a comfortable design. It is important to take into account that the basic equipment does not provide for protection against ammonia for which the DPG-3 cartridge is required. Device and principle of operation

This box is executed from the usual tin or aluminum. Increased strength and resistance to damage to the cylindrical body give special ribs.

The top cover of the cylinder is equipped with a threaded neck, which serves to pairing with the mask.

If the device is on storage, then this structural element is tightly closed by a special cap having a gasket to ensure maximum tightness. On the opposite side, that is, in the bottom of the FPK, there is a hole, through which air flows into the filter. Its on the storage time should also close the special plug.

One of the important elements of the design is a spectacular node having overview glass. For the last during operation, special unapproving films are installed. Also provides for the installation of insulating cuff at low temperatures. This allows you to maintain full glass transparency in almost any operating conditions.   • Obturator in the form of a fine strip made of soft rubber and providing maximum tightness;
  • device with a membrane responsible for speech transmission;
  • locking mechanisms of respiratory blocks;
  • The strap system that allows you to fit the mask and fix it with maximum tightness.

The last structural element includes a plate (occipital) and 5 straps – one frontal, as well as two temporal and peeled. In a situation with the latter, we are talking about metal fixing devices, and the remaining straps are fixed with plastic buckles. In this case, all belts have a stepped type.

Today, GP-7 is already considered an outdated model of civilian gas masks. New versions are more reliable, efficient, user-friendly and functional.

So, GP-7BT is manufactured taking into account all the current requirements of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.

This protection means has the following advantages:

  • the presence of coal-based catalyst;

The choice and fit of the mask is one of the key components of the operation of the described devices. Initially, you need to determine both key sizes. To find a horizontal size, a conditional line should be conducted on the eyebrow and the most protruding part of the nape of 2-3 centimeters above the ears. To determine the vertical size spend a line through the chin and the top.

After the appropriate gas mask is obtained, it is required to pay attention to its completeness. The algorithm of action provides for the following steps.

  1. Remove the device from the package.
  2. Pull out the liner by placing it back to the box.
  3. Carefully examine all parts of the structure to identify defects and shortcompact. In particular, we are talking about all buckles.
  4. Remove the screen and unscrew the external saddle of the valve responsible for exhalation, to check the status of its petals. In parallel, the presence and integrity of the sealing element is checked.

  6. Extract clamping elements (rings or cords made of rubber) from landing groove points.
  7. Rub the glass.
  8. Open the NPN and remove the 2 unsuitable element. The remaining films together with the box are needed to close and put in one of the bids.

The procedure for putting on the device provides a number of uncomplicated actions, namely:

  • Location in the hands of a gas mask, placing thumbs inside;
  • Place the chin in the excavation of the obturator formed in its lower part;
  • Wear a headband by making up and simultaneously backward;
  • tighten and fix the cheek straps as much as possible;
  • When identifying even small disks, the mask, the obturator or belts need to be eliminated.

In the presence of distortions in the chin area, you will need to remove the gas mask and adjust the length of the corresponding straps.


It must be remembered that the GP, like any other devices, has a certain period of full service. The creators of the instruments under consideration have developed special rules of operation, as well as storage. And speech, in particular, is about the following important points.

  1. It is required whenever possible to prevent damage to structural elements. This applies not only to the filtering module, but also locking devices of the blocks of inhalation and exhalation.
  2. Special attention should be paid to the negotiation device, the dirt, sand and dust should not fall on the membrane.
  3. Even the slightest moisture getting into the filter element must be prevented. In other words, the gas mask must be in the most dry room.
  4. All similar devices designed to protect against harmful substances are required to be stored in removal from heat sources at least 3 meters.
