Despite all the turbulences of the crisis year 2020, the market for wearable electronics has maintained a positive overall trend. As before, the biggest demand is for mid-priced smartphones. Today we are going to look at a selection of models under 20k. RUB state at the beginning of 2021. Here will be mostly new products from 2020, but there are also a couple of models from previous years that were particularly successful.

How to choose a smartphone under 20,000 rubles

Today’s Expertology review is partly thematic – we have prepared for you four small selections of models based on the most expressed expectations and even “pains” of smartphone users.

Main user requests

The quality of captured images in modern smartphones is often valued no less, if not more than the quality of the screen image. Users are showing less and less interest to the quality of voice telephony, preferring to communicate via Internet. Finally, perhaps the most tangible consumer demand is battery life.

We must admit that in recent years, smartphone manufacturers have made unprecedented advances in terms of camera capabilities. As for battery capacity, in 2020, there was a real revolution – the market one after another began to appear smartphones in the middle price range, equipped with batteries, which only recently “never dreamed” even the flagships.

Up until last year, 2020, there was an odd lack of contactless payments. It is strange because by itself the NFC module, through which data exchange via close wireless communication between the gadget and payment terminal is carried out, to put it mildly, not the most expensive component. Nevertheless, for a long time NFC was the prerogative of the flagships. But last year we saw a number of new models which supported contactless payments and were relatively inexpensive, definitely not “flagship”.

So in today’s review from Expertology we will summarize the smartphone market of 2020 in the context of exactly these key features: high photo quality, long battery life, high performance for mobile gaming and contactless payment support.

Selection Criteria

Besides the mentioned consumer demands, there are other important characteristics, which should be considered when choosing a smartphone. Especially if you have a personal preference for one feature or another.

  1. To give you the most objective and comprehensive viewon the issue of evaluation and selection of a particular model, we compared the results of independent tests, conducted our own market research and partly benchmarked test models, studied the experience of foreign professional communities, analyzed user feedback.
  2. For example, the largest British organization of independent consumer and peer review “Which?” at the end of January 2021 published another set of recommendations and explanations for choosing a smartphone. Experts have oriented the community on the characteristics that can be expected in a smartphone in this or that price category.

  3. Concerning the smartphones of average value, the organization’s experts have noticed that such devices from different manufacturers for the most part are able to offer the consumer a high-quality screen with high resolution, rich functionality and a long battery. In this case, the top cameras are still the property of flagships. In the medium-price models will have to make do with compromises, which, nevertheless, can give quite decent results.
  4. The position of the authoritative American publication Computerworld is interesting, which offers a somewhat unconventional approach to choosing a smartphone. Publication 2019, but the proposed approaches have not lost their relevance.

  5. Their essence is to determine the real value of a smartphone in the long term through the prism of the time when the manufacturer provides operating system and software updates. The authors place such importance on updates from the point of view of security and data privacy. They strongly insist that in today’s world, data protection should come first, while users of electronic devices greatly underestimate the threats that can come from the web.
  6. Finally, One of the world’s largest expert market research platformsof consumer electronics Digital

    In turn, simply gives simple, detailed, clear and consistent recommendations for choosing a smartphone, emphasizing the importance of certain characteristics.

For most thingsThe opinion of Expertology editors coincide with the positions of foreign colleagues. Consider briefly the key recommendations, taking into account the realities of the modern Russian market.

How to choose a cell phone

Size and casing

The body of the smartphone can be plastic or with a glass surface. The glass adds “premium” to the device, but often slips a lot. At the same stage you should decide on the size – not all modern smartphones allow you to work comfortably with one hand with the screen. If it is important to have a reliable moisture protection then mainly the flagships can boast of it, but there are also exceptions among the mid-price models.

Screen

Smartphones under 20,000 rubles are mostly equipped with a screen with a fairly high resolution – about 2400×1080, but there are generally good options and with less detail. So if you want maximum dot density you need a bigger resolution. As for screen technology, here the undoubted advantage of AMOLED for quality and naturalness of the image, as well as the “visibility” in daylight. But AMOLED also sometimes cause rejection by PWM flicker, so before the final choice this issue regarding the specific model under consideration should also be studied. In any case in the average price category AMOLED still a relative rarity, in most are the IPS matrix.

Performance

One of the key points determining the speed of the smartphone, and hence the overall comfort of interaction with the gadget. If the user has no choice about the processor, the amount of RAM can often be selected by picking up the desired modification. In the medium price category the minimum can be considered 4GB, more is better.

Operating system and software

In the category of “up to 20 thousand” you can consider 4GB as a minimum, and preferably more. There are no new smartphones Apple iPhone, so it would seem, there is no choice of OS – only different variants and modifications of Android. In fact, the recent U.S. trade war against Huawei has led to the fact that the new Huawei has no Google services. Many make do with branded counterparts Huawei, but this fact must be kept in mind. Another point is that often manufacturers supply smartphones with a set of unnecessary software, which can not be removed by standard means. This irritates many users up to switching to another model.

Cameras

In 2020, it was already clear that quadro modules of four-piece rear cameras is more of a marketing move, and at least the macro camera is often clearly superfluous in such systems, and the depth sensor is also often unneeded. In addition, no mid-priced phone can compete even close in terms of camera quality with the top flagships. So you have to orient yourself individually. In fact, we have already prepared a selection for you.

Battery

If only relatively recently, the smartphone, and even the middle class, with a battery capacity of 5000 mAh and more was almost unthinkable gimmick, then 2020 was marked by a real “parade” of models with record-breaking capacity batteries. On this characteristic, the market is finally breathing a sigh of relief, satisfying a long and painful consumer demand.

Data Storage

Another feature where the buyer can often choose even within the same model. In 2021 the built-in memory of 16GB is already frankly not enough. Up to 10GB will be used by the system and internal software, so there is nothing left for user content. Accordingly, the minimum capacity can be considered 32GB, but it is the minimum, not the average. Either way, it would be better to have 64 or 128. Many people think that they are not too demanding in terms of storage capacity, but statistics show that users of the built-in memory is more often acutely lacking than enough.

Useful Options

Finally, there could be some add-ons which make life a lot easier or add to the comfort of use. So, for example, another “chip”, which used to be a sign of a premium model, in 2020 has confidently migrated to the category of smartphones of average affordability in terms of price. We’re talking about NFC module for contactless payments. Other such not quite obvious, but useful options could be good stereo speakers, face unlock feature, ability to shoot video in 4K and more.

    Best smartphones under 20,000 with a good camera

    Let’s start with the top three smartphones available on the Russian market at the beginning of 2021 berries, which are characterized by the best in this price category cameras and photo quality in general. We took into account models that are close to the price of 20 thousand. RUB, but do not exceed it. There is no significant price difference between them, so the descriptions in this selection are placed in random order.

And here it is not even the economy, but an objective measure – the top camera units with unique innovations incredibly expensive to produce.<p>The basic camera set is represented by four modules: the main camera 48MP with auto focus, ultra-wide angle module 8MP also with auto focus, macro module and depth sensor – both at 2MP. Front selfie camera is not exceptional, but pretty good – 16MP. In the product line of the Chinese technology giant Xiaomi “eight” Redmi Note with the prefix Pro has become one of the most carefully thought-out and maximally tested for all kinds of bottlenecks, typical of previous generations. The smartphone has received a lot of rave reviews for the absence of the typical shortcomings of Xiaomi.

    The device begins to please at the first inspection – visually and haptically. Visuals are really impressive – the device looks spectacular and “expensive” with the characteristic shades of shades. The design of the case – a typical “sandwich” of two glass panels with metal trim. In fact, the case of tempered glass already unambiguously hints at the belonging of the smartphone to a higher class. The glass is also worthy – Corning Gorilla Glass 5.

    Screen size 6.53 inches is equipped with a high-quality IPS matrix with a resolution of 2340×1080. The image is smooth without visible pixelation thanks to the density of dots 395 per inch. The brightness margin is decent for this technology and price category – up to 450 nit in manual mode and up to 640 nit in automatic mode.

    The minimum brightness is 2 nits, and this is also important for use in total darkness. At the same time here we get all the advantages of IPS matrix technology to regulate the brightness – a complete absence of flicker PWM. In AMOLED screens, full harmony in this matter has not yet been achieved, especially in those that are used to complete the inexpensive devices.

    The main unit of the device is represented by such modules: the leading camera 64MP with auto focus, “ultrashiric” 8MP 120 degrees, depth sensor to create background blur – 2MP, macro camera 2MP. Front camera – with 20MP resolution. Given the exceptional resolution of the sensor of the leading camera, it effectively uses the technology of grouping four pixels into one.

    The described characteristics are complemented by intelligent software algorithms for scene recognition.

    In this smartphone, the manufacturer again tried to implement the idea of effective integration of the budget Mediatek processor. Given the actual failure of the Redmi Note 4, which had He

  • o G90T has indeed completely solved the problem of overheating – with the help of liquid cooling.

    The result of the developers’ efforts was to get the real performance of an inexpensive processor without trotting due to overheating. Much to thank for performance and RAM – it is installed here in a volume of 6 GB, and even dual-channel, and therefore highly efficient in terms of speed. The integrated data storage is 64 GB, there are modifications with expanded capacity. Memory cards are supported, but the slot is combined with a second SIM card.

    Advantages

    • glass-metal body;
    • performance;
    • high quality of communication;
    • Fast RAM with support for dual-channel mode;
    • NFC;
    • Highly effective liquid cooling;
    • premium appearance.

    Disadvantages

    • “extra” macro camera;
    • no AptX codec support for wireless transmission of high-quality sound.

    Samsung Galaxy A51 64GB

    Rating: 4.8

    Samsung Galaxy A51 64GB

    Third in the selection we will consider a bright 2020 model, which turned out to be incredibly successful and in many ways exceeded user expectations. Some features of the smartphone is close to the flagship, and overall this model is by far one of the best in its class.

    The first thing you should pay attention to here is the screen. It has a SuperAMOLED matrix, and with this model, in fact, the closest to the flagships. Resolution – 2400×1080 with a density of dots 405 per inch. Screen size 6.5 inches. The surface is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3. There is a handy feature AlwaysOn Display.

    Regarding cameras, this model has, quite expectedly, four rear modules: the main camera 48MP; ultra-wide-angle module 12MP; macro module 5MP; advanced depth sensor 5MP. Photo quality, again, can not be compared to the flagships, especially in terms of night shooting capabilities. But still for this price segment is the top level.

    The smartphone has been highly praised by experts and average users for its high performance. RAM and although not a record size – 4 or 6GB, depending on the modification, but in combination with the processor Samsung Exynos 9611 and a deep thought-out system optimization speed is obtained worthy even with a fairly resource-intensive applications.

    The configuration of communication tools in the Galaxy A51 includes everything you need, and more. Powerful Wi-Fi module provides a stable data transfer in two bands. Next generation 5 Bluetooth.0 supports ANT + technology, which is widely used in modern sports equipment. For a mid-range smartphone is a relative rarity.

    A big plus of this model is support for OTG technology, through which you can connect external peripherals, such as a keyboard, to your smartphone.

    Now about battery life. The battery here is average, if we start from the market conditions formed in 2020-2021 – 4000 mAh of capacity. But battery life compared to many models with comparable cost – on average higher.

    To a large extent, a good battery life is determined by the screen. AMOLED technology is also good for its energy efficiency. In fact, with a full charge the device can operate at maximum brightness in video mode for up to 12 hours. In Internet mode via Wi-Fi even more – up to 16 hours. There is a function of fast charging.

    Advantages

    • SuperAMOLED matrix;
    • AlwaysOn Display;
    • cellular and data quality;
    • performance;
    • NFC;
    • ANT+ support;
    • OTG technology.

    Disadvantages

    • insignificant against the merits.

    The best smartphones under 20,000 with a good battery

    Now let’s move on to a selection of smartphones, which at the end of 2020 and in early 2021 shows the best combination of the most popular features with almost the main user requirement – battery life. Here are three models with the highest capacity batteries and the best system optimization, which together give you the best battery life.

    OPPO A72 128GB

    Rating: 4.9

    OPPO A72 128GB

    The first in this selection will offer you to pay attention to the smartphone from the Chinese brand OPPO, which in recent years more and more confidently captures the market. Its overall advantage is typical of many “pioneers” of the market – a relatively affordable price for a fairly high performance.

    Let’s start with the battery. It has a 5000 mAh non-removable lithium-ion module. In combination with the nature of the electronics and screen of this model, the battery can provide up to 30 hours of talk time on GSM-communication, up to 50 hours of listening to audio. Standby time is counted in hundreds of hours. There is fast charging via USB Type-C. The first half hour is up to half of the charge, and the rest in the next hour and a half. Another plus is reverse charging – you can charge other gadgets from your smartphone, essentially using it as a powerbank.

    Now about the other important characteristics of this model. The screen size here is 6.5 inches, IPS matrix with a resolution of 2400×1080. Color rendering – up to 16.78 million colors. The image quality and natural thanks to the high pixel density – 405 per inch. The screen is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3.

    The camera configuration here is quite typical for last year’s trends, namely – somewhat redundant in terms of functional modules. The main camera is equipped with a 48 megapixel sensor, 8 megapixel ultra-wide-angle module, depth sensor and 2 megapixel macro camera. The strongest point of this set is the portrait. Also good results in the evening shooting thanks to the effective mode

      tra Night 2.0. Also shows good front camera 16 megapixel with software background blur.

      About the performance you can already make an opinion on the processor. Here it is an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 665. Acceptable for this price and class of device, but no more than that. The amount of RAM is sufficient, but also at the limit – 4 GB. And the built-in memory is already pleasing – 128 GB, plus there is also the ability to use memory cards up to 256 GB.

      Advantages

      • high resolution;
      • quality color reproduction;
      • decent cameras;
      • You can shoot video in 4K;
      • A dedicated card reader;
      • Bluetooth 5.0;
      • NFC;
      • fast charging;
      • reverse charging.

      Disadvantages

      • Instances of unstable cellular service.

      Xiaomi Mi Max 3 4/64GB

      Rating: 4.8

      Xiaomi Mi Max 3 4/64GB

      Now let’s make a somewhat unexpected move and introduce a real flagship within the review of smartphones in the middle segment. How is this possible at a price of less than 20 thousand?. rubles? Everything is clear – the model is the year before last, but it is still on sale in sufficient quantities, and since its release it has fallen in price. We must admit that this approach to choosing a smartphone is quite reasonable from a practical point of view.

      The first thing that makes this smartphone stand out is the huge screen. 6.9 inches is practically tablet size. The resolution is quite decent – 2160×1080, but at this size matrix pixel density is noticeably lower – 350 per inch. Still, that’s enough to keep most users from noticing individual pixels. Matrix type – IPS.

      At first glance at what is the electronics of the smartphone, one can not help but have doubts, because the same processor Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 is no competitor to the single-chip systems installed in the flagships 2020-2021. But here we should remember that this model is specific, and has advantages by the fact of belonging to the real flagships, even being already obsolete.

      About the cameras will also need to abstract from modern models with their quad-modules and prohibitive resolutions. In the Mi Max 3, the rear module consists of two elements – the main camera with 12 megapixels and the second at 5 megapixels. Front camera – 8 megapixel.

      And as for the theme of this review nomination, that is, the battery, everything is already in order here – the smartphone is equipped with a battery capacity of 5500 mAh. In the context of the power consumption of this model, it corresponds to “honest” two days of work in conditionally-usual mode, by which we mean: about 6 hours in total with the screen on, constantly working wi-fi with occasional active use of the Internet.

      The model has a feature fast charging Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0, at which half of the charge is achieved in the first half hour, and the rest in another one and a half. The smartphone also has reverse charging, meaning it can work as a power bank.

      But what exactly can be imputed to this model as a drawback is the lack of NFC. That’s why the smartphone will suit those who don’t care about contactless payments.

      Advantages

      • Although outdated, but a real flagship;
      • a huge screen (for those who prefer this size);
      • Quality matrix with realistic color reproduction;
      • A handy software shell;
      • fast charging;
      • reverse charging;
      • mini-jack connector 3.5 mm;
      • card reader.

      Disadvantages

      • In places weak performance compared to the newer generations;
      • no NFC.

      Samsung Galaxy M31

      Rating: 4.8

      Samsung Galaxy M31

      We finish the selection with a record-breaking battery capacity – the Galaxy M31 made by Samsung. The powerful battery is not the only advantage of this model, it surprised many last year.

      This is the second smartphone in our review with an average price on the market, but with a striking advantage in terms of the screen. Here is a matrix SuperAMOLED with all the advantages of this technology. Diagonal – 6.4 inches, F resolution

        lHD + 2340×1080 at this size provides the most comfortable and natural images thanks to the pixel density of 403 pixels per inch. The refresh rate of the screen, however, still maximum 60 Hz, and here the smartphone loses to its “relative” Galaxy A51.

        The second impressive element in this model already relates directly to our topic. Here the manufacturer has not disappointed even the optimists, installing a battery capacity of as much as 6000 mAh. Tests have shown that the device is able to work from the moment of a full charge in video mode to 29 hours.

        There is a fast charging feature, but it is “long”, as paradoxical as it may sound. Up to half of zero the smartphone is charged in about 60 minutes, and in total charging takes about 150 minutes.

        As for the cameras, this model in the review belongs to two categories. All because here the leading rear camera has a much higher resolution than the above Galaxy A51 – 64 megapixels. The other three in the quad are 8MP ultra-wide-angle, 5MP macro and 5MP depth sensor. It supports 4K resolution recording. The front selfie camera, too, with an impressive resolution of 32 megapixels. It is complemented by “smart” software algorithms for background blurring and other useful additions.

        And now about all that provides the performance of all the described components. Performance is entrusted to the shoulders of the “native” processor Exynos 9611. At the time of development it was based on the latest 10nm process. The modification with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal memory comes officially to Russia. What a real gift is the presence of a card reader with support for large cards up to 512GB.

        With communications this model, the situation is also more than good. Dual-band Wi-Fi module, Bluetooth 5.0, unlike the previous model it has NFC, for the wired connection it has USB Type C. The only thing with contactless payments – it does not support Samsung Pay, which is strange, but only Google Pay.

        Advantages

        • Record-breaking battery capacity;
        • Matrix SuperAMOLED;
        • performance and fast memory;
        • NFC;
        • AlwaysOn Display;
        • OTG (peripheral connectivity) support;
        • Large-capacity memory card support, a dedicated slot.

        Disadvantages

        • A “long” fast charge;
        • no metal stiffening rib.

        The best smartphones under 20,000 with contactless payment support

        Now let’s look at a mini-set of two smartphones that support contactless payments through the NFC near field wireless communication module. In 2021, the presence of such a feature even in mid-price smartphones is difficult to surprise anyone, but we have chosen for you the optimal models for the combination of characteristics.

        realme 6S 6/128GB

        Rating: 4.9

        realme 6S 6/128GB

        So let’s start the review with a smartphone from the Chinese brand realme, in which many see a direct interest – the Chinese technology giant Xiaomi. Given the fact that Xiaomi electronics are manufactured for the most part by third-party companies on a contract basis, the presence in the realme 6S almost identical components is quite expected.

        The model is largely identical to the realme 6, but still a little newer – the 2019 “six” has already been discontinued and may run out of stock fairly quickly. Here we have almost the same content – the same screen, the same cameras, the same battery. Let’s go over these points in more detail.

        The screen characteristics here are some of the best you can expect in this price range. Resolution – F

          lHD+ 2400×1080 at a diagonal of 6.5 inch gives a high density of 405 ppi. The matrix technology itself – IPS, but at this price point, few smartphones will have AMOLED. In addition, the maximum screen refresh rate is 90 Hz, which is also a big plus compared to the 60 Hz of many competitors in the niche. The maximum brightness of 480 nits also deserves high marks.

          Now as for the cameras. The rear unit consists of four modules. Leading camera 48 Mpix with an aperture of f/1.8 and Quad Bayer technology, which uses a grouping of four pixels into one to improve the quality of the final image. There is phase autofocus and HDR support.

          The second rear camera is a 119° ultra-wide-angle with 8 Mpix sensor resolution, 2x optical zoom and 5x hybrid, plus up to 10x digital zoom. The other two rear cameras are 2-megapixel macro with f/2 aperture.4x and 2x depth sensor. Front camera with 16 megapixels, f/2 aperture.0, HDR and panorama support.

          In terms of performance here, we see a good profile, which could be created at all on a budget processor MediaTek He

        • o G90T. It is an 8-core system based on two Cortex-A76 and six Cortex-A55 graphics Ma
        • -G76. In addition to the variant with 6 GB of RAM, there are extended modifications with 8 GB. The memory is fast – 2133 MHz, which is even more important than the volume. In addition to the standard 128GB of storage, you can use microSD cards up to 256GB.

          Battery capacity of 4300 mAh would have seemed very decent two years ago, but compared to comparable models in the second selection of our review, it is far from a record. In mixed mode, as shown by numerous tests, the device will not last two days. But it has fast charging with Type-C.

          And a few words about the body. It is plastic, but made well, in the hand lays confidently, does not slip. The screen surface is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3.

          Samsung Galaxy A31 128GB

          Rating: 4.8

          Samsung Galaxy A31 128GB

          Finally, the third Samsung in the review of the best smartphones under 20k. rubles according to Expertology, and this will be the junior model of the Galaxy A in comparison with the Galaxy A51 described above. With some compromises, this is still a very bright gadget, also possessing some dosed, but noticeable flagship “chips”.

          As in the two Galaxy described above, here the compromises have not touched the screen. You can still get an AMOLED matrix for moderate money. The resolution is also expectedly high, even nearly the maximum on the market in this price category – 2400×1080, dot density – 411 per inch. In image quality and natural color rendering it is unnecessary to convince, here everything is at the highest level.

          The camera situation is similar to the previous smartphone, taking into account the resolution of the main camera – 48 megapixels. But that’s where the similarity ends, because in terms of the other modules of the rear unit Galaxy A31 is definitely ahead: super-wide angle 8MP, macro 5MP, depth sensor 5MP. Even the front-facing camera on resolution alone beats the Realme 6S by 20 megapixels vs 16. There are software algorithms for background blur and other intelligent image processing. There is still a disadvantage here, but it concerns only the video recording.

          We got to the compromise, which the manufacturer could not but make, in order to keep the smartphone in the acceptable price range. So, there is a relatively low-budget MediaTek He processor

        • o P65, RAM low minimum for this class – 4GB, and built-in memory many will also be literally in demand – 64GB. Fortunately, there is a card reader with support for high-capacity cards up to 512GB.

          In terms of autonomy, the manufacturer took into account the real market trends and provided the smartphone with a battery with a fair 5000 mAh of capacity. There’s also fast charging. This battery lasts on average up to 30 hours of talk time, or up to 90 hours of listening to music.

          Advantages

          • AMOLED screen;
          • higher resolution;
          • not a bad camera configuration;
          • Support for memory cards of large capacity with a dedicated card reader;
          • high capacity battery;
          • fast charging;
          • fingerprint scanner under the screen.

          Flaws

          • some users consider the processor weak against the rest of the configuration;
          • The disadvantages of video.

          The best gaming smartphones under 20,000

          Concluding our review mini-sample is dedicated to smartphones that in this price range can be considered gaming. In fact, this is how they are positioned by the manufacturers even technically – both are equipped with processors that specifically increased the performance of the graphics subsystem. Plus, these processors also have on board a built-in digital-to-analog converter and a set of add-ons for maximum sound quality, including gaming-specific.

          Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro 6/128GB

          Rating: 4.9

          Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro 6/128GB

          The first consider the “big brother” of the aforementioned smartphone Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 – “nine” of the same line, and also with the prefix Pro. Here the work on the bugs was not so thoroughly made, so there are criticisms from users for the sometimes laggy shell interface. But in the games the smartphone behaves decently, and in the framework of this topic this is the main thing.

          From the screen side here already such miracles, as from the above Samsungs do not wait – already installed not AMOLED, and IPS matrix, but good quality, with a decent margin of brightness. With a screen size of 6.67 inch and resolution F

            lHD 2400×1080 we get a pixel density of 395 pixels per inch, which is very good. The screen is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5 – plus, but the plastic frame – minus.

            The photo quality of this model provides more than decent, in fact, the configuration of the cameras here is quite obligatory to this. The main rear camera is 64MP resolution, 8MP ultra-wide angle, 5MP macro camera and 2MP depth sensor. Front selfie-camera 16 megapixel with software bokeh effect.

            Now for what determines the gaming capabilities of the device. The processor discussed in the description of the selection is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G. Here the G stands for Gaming. In principle, its improvement consists only in “twisted to maximum” frequency built-in graphics module, but it adds about 15% to the gaming performance, which is quite a lot. Another unobvious advantage of the processor is that many gamers have initially optimized their products for it.

            The characteristics of memory here are solid – 6GB of RAM, 128GB of internal storage, in addition to which is a card reader, dedicated and with support for large cards – up to 512GB.

            Communications are somewhat extended – in addition to the standard wi-fi module and Bluetooth 5.0, there is an NFC module and infrared interface on board. With certain settings, the smartphone can be used as a remote control for home audio and video equipment.

            In support of gaming specialization in this smartphone is installed a high-capacity battery 5020 mA⋅h with fast charging function.

            Advantages

            • a powerful gaming processor;
            • Increased performance of the graphics module;
            • Dual noise-canceling microphone;
            • A high-quality matrix with a large margin of brightness
            • A dedicated card reader with support for large-capacity cards;
            • A long battery;
            • fast charging;
            • Corning Gorilla Glass 5.

            Disadvantages

            • there may be “slowness” of the shell interface.

            realme 6 Pro 8/128GB

            Rating: 4.8

            Realme 6 Pro 8/128GB

            The realme 6 Pro is a Pro, in a way that it’s noticeably different from the previously described realme 6S. And there are differences, as well as completely identical moments, but the advantages are still more.

            First briefly about the general points. This model has exactly the same matrix with exactly the same characteristics – 2400×1080 resolution, IPS technology, refresh rate of 90 Hz – a big plus for mobile gamers. Exactly the same battery with a capacity of 4300 mA⋅h. The electronics of this model on such a battery is capable of working up to 24 hours in continuous reading mode, watching video – up to 19 hours and in quite demanding games – up to 7 hours.

            Now about the differences, and they relate to the most fundamental issue – the processor. It already has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G. The solution itself is much more advanced than the MediaTek He

          • o G90T from the S-version, but here is also the increased characteristics of the graphics module, as indicated by the index G (stands for “gaming”). These are almost flagship characteristics, but still there are certain compromises. The 8GB RAM doesn’t look at all budget-friendly either. Built-in storage is 128GB. It is possible to connect microSD up to 256GB.

            Now for something that users are just as interested in – the cameras. Here, too, the smartphone is up to the mark. The rear module consists of four elements: a 64MP main camera with autofocus, but no optical stabilization; a 12MP TV with 2x optical zoom and a 5x hybrid; an 8MP “super wide”; a 2MP macro camera. Selfie-camera dual – the main module 16 Mpix and wide-angle 8 Mpix.

            In this model, the camera even has zoom – up to two times the focal length can change. Thus optical zooming is available.

            Users and experts have valid comments on the token and almost useless macro camera, which is installed here actually only for the sake of marketing. It does not interfere with anything in principle, but presumably affects the cost.

            The body of the smartphone, as in the previous model, plastic, but with a glossy surface, styled like glass with high fidelity. Screen diagonal 6.6 inches for an overall size of 75.8×163.8×8.9 mm. The screen is covered by a new generation of protective glass CorningGorillaGlass 5.

            Advantages

            • 90 Hz screen frequency;
            • CorningGorillaGlass 5;
            • brightness reserve;
            • powerful processor;
            • increased performance of the graphics module;
            • Dual front camera;
            • NFC;
            • video recording from the screen without third-party applications;
            • fast charging.

            Disadvantages

            • luetooth can occasionally lose contact with the paired device.
