Skykitchen
Rating: 4.9

We have awarded the first place in our rating to the restaurant with an original name Skykitchen – “Sky Kitchen”. Here you really feel yourself in heaven both literally (the institution is located on the 12th floor), and figuratively – taste of culinary masterpieces offered in Skykitchen is really divine. The chefs’ impeccable expertise is confirmed by two Miche stars
A fusion of contrasts – the Heavenly Kitchen’s main concept. It is embodied not only in the menu, but also in the interior. The kitchen area is located in the center of the hall, and small tables and banquet groups are placed round. This approach allowed for a magnificent panoramic view of Berlin from all sides. Capt´n Schillow

Capt´n Schillow is located in Berlin’s most picturesque place, the Charlottenburg district. A large part of the menu consists of traditional “sea” cuisine, which is not surprising. The establishment is open on board an old ship moored off the shore of the Landver Canal. The steamship Capt´n Schillow made her last voyage in 1996, and for nearly 22 years she has been welcoming guests at. By the way, Michael Jackson, Freddie Mercury and other celebrities have been on this centennial ship, which the team is very proud of and tries to maintain its reputation at the highest level constantly.

Heising
Rating: 4.6

Heising is a small cozy restaurant with an accent on French cuisine. But this is quite understandable: the owners are a French couple who have been treating their guests with national dishes of their homeland for 30 years.
This clean-cut establishment is nestled in the heart of West Berlin. You can get here only by booking – there are only 8 tables and it’s almost always a full house.
We included Heising in our rating for several reasons. First of all, the food here is fantastic. Secondly, the menu is truly exquisite. Thirdly, the interior of the restaurant is absolutely stunning, as well as other details which create a special charm of conservatism: porcelain dishes with a monogram, hand-written bill, the possibility of paying only in cash. And finally, a good family atmosphere, where every guest is welcomed as a family member who dropped in to have dinner with close friends.

- Delicacies (foie gras, snails, frogs’ legs, deer meat, pigeon, etc.) are served in the restaurant.)
- Very reasonable prices as for a haute cuisine restaurant (average bill 50-60 euros).
- Excellent serving and presentation.
- Aristocratic atmosphere.
- Attentive staff.
- Nice and calm retro music.
Disadvantages
- You need to reserve a lot of time, because there might be no vacant seats for the desired date.
- Small selection of dishes on the menu (usually 20 to 24 items).
- Cash only, which causes inconveniences for some customers.
Marjellchen
Rating: 4.6

Marjellchen is the best place for those who prefer classic German cuisine. This is one of a few places, where you can taste national culinary masterpieces in their original form. In Marjellchen you will find that the original German cuisine is very tasty and varied. Here they cook liver on Berlinski, pork knuckle, smoked fish and other traditional delicacies. The desserts are equally delicious – apple strudel, pudding, eclairs, doughnuts with jam.
Hospitality and family atmosphere are not the only trump cards of the restaurant. The hostess talks to each guest personally, talks about the history of the institution and makes every effort to ensure that everyone is satisfied.
The interior of Marjellchen is European style. No ornate details, very simple but tasteful. In addition to the indoor hall, the restaurant has a veranda, where you can relax in the warm weather.
Advantages
- Vegetarian, kid’s, gluten-free meals in the menu.
- Big portions.
- Very reasonable prices (average bill – 15-25 Euros).

- This place is open only in the evening (from 17:00 p.m.).00 to 23.30).
- Visitors report that it is too stuffy inside in hot weather.
- No Wi-Fi (and not planned in the future – this is the “policy” of the restaurant).
Marron
Rating: 4.5

This is a very classy restaurant in the Villa Kastania hotel. The small room can seat up to 45 people at a time. The cozy atmosphere makes you relax and enjoy the delicious food. The atmosphere is truly extraordinary. Huge fireplace, an old piano and many other details thanks to which Marron reminds more of an aristocratic living room of the century before last than a gastronomic place. This is an ideal place for a romantic date, and not just because of the entourage. The restaurant has a fine selection of dishes that will decorate the most sophisticated lunch or dinner.
Marron specializes in traditional German cuisine with locally grown, seasonal ingredients. That’s why the menu is frequently updated and guests can try original interpretations of classic recipes.
