- Type of motor.Available in petrol or electric. The former are loud, heavy, with exhaust fumes, but can work in the field far from civilization. The latter are lighter, quieter, simpler, but they need a network connection, so they are suitable only for the household plot close to the house.
- Power. For gasoline units, horsepower is measured in horsepower (5-6.5 l.s.), for electric ones – in watts (1500-2500 W). The higher the figures, the stronger the machine, which means it is suitable for plowing virgin land and loam.
- Pulling power.Often associated with power, but also depends on the characteristics of the gearbox. Comes in 200 to 600 kg. The higher the value, the heavier the load can be moved.
- Length of rope and its diameter.Available from 30 to 50 meters. Choose a length based on the size of your garden. Diameter affects strength and durability. You are better off with a winch with 5 mm rope for plowing. For cultivating soft soil, the 4-4 is fine.5 mm.
- Kit. In addition to the engine block, you need a mating part, such as plow or pick-up. At some models they are sold together with a motor-winch, at others – they are got separately.
