It is important before cleaning to try to remember how long ago the wallpaper was stained with ink. The longer the paste has spent on the cloth, the harder it will be to remove. It is easier and faster to cope with traces of gel pen, because it does not contain oil substances, which have to be treated with special solvents.
How to scrub a pen from different types of wallpaper
Even if the label on the cloth is no longer there, you can find the best cleaning option for your wallpaper yourself. It will depend on the material from which the coating is made.
Paper
Be very careful with paper, as it can quickly become soggy with too much moisture. The best way to remove ink stains from such wallpaper is to use manganese vinegar essence. In the process will require:
Send in 1 hr. l. Vinegar essence a small amount of manganese. 1 grit will be enough.
Soak a cotton swab in the resulting solution.
Treat the trace of a pen 3-4 times.
After such cleaning, a faint pink stain will remain on the paper. It is easily removed with hydrogen peroxide. In this substance is moistened with absorbent cotton and it gently wipes the desired area of the wallpaper.
If the stain on the paper covering has just appeared, then lime or lemon juice will help cope with it. A cotton swab is soaked in it and used to remove the ink spot.

This coating is more resistant to a variety of effects, so there are several ways to clean it of ink traces. It is acceptable to use:
Stain remover;
Dishwashing liquid;
washing powder.
The selected product is applied to a damp sponge and it is used to process the drawing with a pen on the covering. When the problem area has been cleaned of the stain, you only need to blot it with a paper towel or tissue.
Vinyl
Vinyl can also be treated with laundry soap, shower gel or citric acid. The main thing is not to wet the wallpaper excessively in the process.
If household soap is chosen to remove the ink stain, then you need:
Grind it with a grater.
Pour hot water over the chips (proportion 1 part dry substance to 3 parts liquid).
Stir the components so that they become a viscous thick mass.
Cool the mixture and apply it to the traces of the pen. It is convenient to do it with a cotton pad or wand.
Dry the problem area with a paper towel.
According to the same scheme, the shower gel is used to remove the stain. It is recommended to use clear and flavorless. It is applied to the problem area, leave for a couple of minutes and dry with napkins.
If you take citric acid to clean the wallpaper from the traces of the pen, you will need to mix it with ammonia. Use the remedy according to the following scheme:
In a small container is poured 1 tbsp. l. ammonia.
Dissolve ½ hr in the liquid. l. citric acid.
treat the stain with the resulting mixture. Leave it for 7-12 minutes in such a form.
As a result, the stain should lighten. There is no need to wash off the lemon juice and ammonia from it. It is enough to blot the problem area with paper towels.
Textile
The main difficulty in cleaning such coatings from stains – the impossibility of using water in the process. Textile wallpaper is very susceptible to moisture. It is only allowed to treat them with an alcoholic glass cleaner. To do this, you need:
Soak cotton pads in glass cleaner.
Apply the product to the traces of the pen.
Lightly blot the treated area with tissues.
If the stain on the textile covering is fresh, then quickly cope with it will help ready mustard. It is also applied to the problem area with a cotton swab, and after – left to dry. After the powder is gently removed with a natural cloth. If the stain does not disappear completely, it will significantly lighten in the process.
Bamboo
This version of the coating is similar in its properties to paper wallpaper. Therefore, it is undesirable to soak it. The best way to remove pen stains from such a cloth is to use folk remedies:
Finely grate raw potatoes and mix them with citric acid in equal parts (the mixture is applied to the problem area for 3-4 minutes, after which it is removed with a damp cotton cloth);
mix fresh milk and raw egg yolk (the resulting homogeneous mass is treated ink stains, and you do not need to wash it off)
Combine 1 tsp each. l. glycerin and ammonia (apply the mixture to the stain for a quarter of an hour).
If the stain is old and you can’t remove it with improvised means. It is better to buy a special gel for the care of bamboo fabrics. Today such products are sold in most stores selling goods for construction and repair.
Liquid
For liquid coating, it can be difficult to choose a suitable cleaner. Such wallpaper can not be treated with compounds with acid, alkali, abrasive. But you can remove stains from them with milk products. For example, with milk, kefir or whey.
Always preheat the milk product until it is warm. Then it is applied to the problem area. In the process the stain will either disappear completely or brighten considerably. In the second case you can repeat the procedure 1-2 times more.
Glass wallpaper
Such coatings on the wall are usually painted. In order not to violate their integrity, it is best to take a glass cleaner, dishwashing detergent or stain remover to remove the stain.
The selected compound is applied first to the absorbent cotton, and then – on the problem area of the cloth. After a quarter of an hour, it will be enough to blot the treated area with paper towels.

Remove ink stains from the wallpaper as soon as you notice them (the longer the pen remains on the surface, the more it will soak into it);
