Motoblock – one of the most popular and demanded technical means around the world. Its use helps to solve many small tasks in agriculture and some other industries. Nevertheless, many people who could potentially come in handy, still really do not understand his purpose and doubt the need for its purchase. So that you clearly understand whether you need such an aggregate in the farm, it is worth considering its features and a potential scope of application.
General description and occurrence history
The concept of the motoblock is best revealed by its old names, widely used in Russian up to the 80s of the last century: pedestrian, small or uniaxial tractor. From the outside it looks like a kind of semblance of a two-wheeled car with handles that need to behave. Only a motoblock, in contrast to cars, can usually “help” the operator in its move due to the built-in low-power engine. Such a device cannot be called self-propelled, because due to all two wheels on the sides, it cannot move without an additional support in the form of an operator, at the same time it is not activated by human strength.
Because of the relatively small sizes and an inexpensive low-power engine, such a “tractor” costs much cheaper than full, Although productivity, of course, is also noticeably reduced. However, for small farms, such a decision may be very advantageous. It should be noted that, depending on the potential tasks, such an unit can be as tiny (not larger than the average lawn mower and with an engine in one horsepower), and really resembling a small tractor with a capacity of up to 10 horsepower. If we talk about agriculture, the use of large motoblocks is considered appropriate when processing the territory to four hectares.
The first samples of motoblocks appeared in those years when the rapid mechanization of agriculture began to introduce a motorized technique and in this sphere of human activity. Patent for one of the first models was issued back in 1912, And after a few years, the production of such equipment has put on the thread of the unsolicited German company Siemens. Ten – twenty years, the Germans had competitors in most other major European countries, but after World War II, the popularity of such equipment in Western Europe has undergone some decline.
But in the following decades, the motoblocks began to acquire increasing popularity in countries with a lower standard of living. In the USSR, they firmly entered the use of about the 80s of the last century, and over the next decades have become insanely popular in all Asia and Africa. To date, the huge proportion of this type of equipment is produced in China. The same country refers to the leaders and by the number of exploited specimens.
The main nodes of the mechanism
As it should be moving technique, any motor-block has a running part in its composition as a base, however, it differs from a simple cart, the presence of at least four components: engine, transmission, and also aggregation and control systems.
Motors in motoblocks almost always work on liquid fuel, electric – while the rarity is. New models are usually four-stroke. Their two-stroke “counterparts” today are already considered to be obsolete. Since the unit is managed by a hiking person, the engine is equipped with an automatic rotational frequency regulator. By engine power, motor-blocks are usually divided into light (up to 5 horsepower) and heavy (from 4 to 10 horsepower), but the capacity of more than 10 horsepower is very rare.

Hydraulic transmission – one of the innovations. Its widespread use is characteristic mainly for the last decade. Choose it usually for the sake of simplifying traffic management, since it is easy to adjust the speed of the aggregate.
Aggregation system is, in simple language, special devices that allow you to attach those or other agricultural instruments to the motoblock, because without such accessories it is useless. On this basis, pedestrian tractors are divided into two main categories. Motor-cultivators suggest the installation of additional equipment directly on the axis. The wheeled motoblocks are equipped with a special bracket on which everything you need is attached.
As for the management system, it can be implemented differently in different models of individual manufacturers. However, in most cases, the retention of the unit in the correct position and its orientation in the right direction is carried out with steering rods. Since both hands of the operator in the process of use are occupied by these handles, all major functions are controlled from here: the grip often placed on the left rod, and gas on the right. Light models usually do not have any mechanical brake at all, it also provides for the right row. As for the more specific governing bodies, they are usually not derived to the rods – they are located on the same node that manage.
Recently, manufacturers also pay a considerable attention to the safety of the operator. Although not in all models there is at least something from the following, when choosing a good option, it is better to overpay for a complete complete set. So, special protective covers over the work mills do not allow the departing of the land or stones to fly towards the operator. Steering rods are often equipped with an elastic suspension, smoothing the vibration of the motor, because the latter often provokes various health disturbances.
A good motoblock also can automatically turn off the transmission as soon as the operator releases the steering rods. It minimizes the number of accidents. Some manufacturers specifically limit the movement by reverse speed not more than 30 cm per second. This allows you to avoid hitting the operator when it falls.
Scope of application
The motor-block itself can not have any application – it all depends only on additional guns that join it and never supplied in the kit. Accordingly, the functionality of each model depends only on how much additional components can be attached to the main mechanism.
With the help of a motoblock you can plow a garden or dip bed. This application is more common in small areas like gardens, flower or greenhouses, but it all depends only on the power of the unit, because as already mentioned, the most powerful models pull up to 4 hectares of the territory. If necessary, the unit can be used for scraping herbs, and even for snow cleaning. A completely separate way to use motoroblocks is the transportation of goods, however, not too heavy and not very far.
It is clear that not all of the described methods of application are suitable for the motoblock of any type. It all depends on the engine power and some other characteristics of the model. For example, the sphere of use of light pedestrian tractors is usually limited only to plowing with a cutter, the same okuperf is not always purchased. The average power unit is a universal plowing machine, it is fixed to it not only milling and occupy, but also a small plow with the harrow. If necessary, you can expand the tool arsenal as a mower and a slight semi-trailer, moreover, such models are usually shipped with replaceable wheels.
Universal solution, even without interchangeable wheels, are heavy motoblocks. Snowplows are installed only on such a powerful technique. Some owners equip them even with a small bulldozer dump, while lighting motoblocks are simply not able to solve such tasks. In addition to the above, such a technique can be equipped with a cultivator or robble. Also when transporting goods semi-trailer can be loaded intensively.
Operation of the motoblock for transporting goods on the semi-trailer or cart has its own characteristics. First, this technique is forbidden to use on public roads, which in itself eliminates considerable transportation distances. Secondly, the effectiveness of such aggregates is relatively low, since the leading wheels of the machine itself are practically not loaded, and all the severity falls on the slave wheels of the cart. In practice, this means that lifting up a mountain or a broken dirt road for loaded motor-block is often irresistible. Therefore, they drive with cargo only in the territories of factories, farms and other small plated areas with normal coating. Motor techniques in aggregation with a cart is noticeably reduced.
