The Chubuschnik is considered one of the most unpretentious plants, it easily carries out in any region of our country. In the people, he is called Garden Jasmine, but experts say that this is an incorrect name, because the Chubuschik refers to the family of hydrangea. And the dates of the landing and the conditions for the care of it have nothing to do with the representative of the Maslin family. The only thing that really unites them – beautiful flowers with a gentle aroma. It is worth introducing a closer to the named brother of a fragrant jasmine and learn about his characteristic features.
Dates of landing
Experienced gardeners advise landing jasmine garden in early September. However, the real terms of landing will differ depending on the region in which the shrub will grow. For example, in Siberia, the Chubousenik land from September 3-15. Similar cultivation conditions are applied in the Urals. Gardeners of the central and southern regions of our country are planted by the Chubuschnik from mid-September and until the end of October.
In particular, in the suburbs planted garden jasmine from September 20 and October 15. In the summer and spring, this shrub is better not to land – the gardener will not have time to spend necessary for landing work, and the plant can perish. If you want to start landscaping the garden with the onset of the first spring days, it is worth landing the potbouse before the kidneys start bloom.
In the fall, the plant is at rest, but it does not prevent him from adapting to harsh climatic conditions. And the gardener does not have to worry that he will not have time to take care of the plant.
Choosing a place and soil preparation
Chubuschnik loves sunny plots with fertile, but not overwhelmed soil. For him, light loams or chernozem fit. If you put it in the shadow, the plant will stretch in search of sunlight. If you put it in a wetlable soil, he may die from the overaffect of humidity.
The selected area should not be open – for the Publika, any secluded corner near the fence, the walls of the house or the sunny side of the gazebo. It can be planted near high trees that will protect it from the penetrating wind. However, it should be borne in mind that this plant loves space, so it can not be planted right under the trees or thickening landing.
After choosing a place to prepare the soil. A week before the landing, you need to dig a hole in a depth of half a meter and with a similar diameter. Even with the presence of a good soil, the Earth should be fed by a special fertile mixture, which is made from the turf and humus. If the plot prevails the clay black soil, it is worth adding sand to this mixture. Mineral feeding is added there (100 g of wood ash and 30 g of superphosphate). If it is supposed to plant a plant on a moistened soil, a drainage should be poured onto the bottom of the pit (a layer of rubble, clamzite or broken bricks with a thickness of 15 cm).
Features of the landing work
The plant should be squeezed along with an earthy room. In the process of landing, it is necessary to ensure that the root neck is on the same level with the surface of the earth. The canbushnik has a closed root system, so its root neck can be shuffled, but not more than 2-3 centimeters. If you bury the root neck to a big depth, it will lead to the reinforcement of the root system of the plant.
Immediately after disembarking into the outdoor soil, the canchousenik is plentiful. One bush is poured up to 20-30 liters of water. When moisture is absorbed, the hole is sprinkled with dry earth. After a couple of days after landing, the rolling circle should be closed by peat, humus or garden earth. Overhead part of the shrub should be trimmed.
The seedling should be left only a few shoots, each of which will be 2-3 kidneys. It will somewhat slow down the formation of buds, but will contribute to the rapid growth of the bush.
What can be landed near?
The Chubuschnik is a self-sufficient culture, so it works organically both in group and in the parter landing. In addition, it is considered an ideal solution for living hedges. Near the magnificent flowering bushes of the garden jasmine, you can land lilac, Hortensia, Spiray or Wegel. The beauty of flowering and the luxurious greens of these shrubs will turn part of the garden into a cozy fragrant corner of nature.
If there is no desire to arrange lush thickets on the site, it is worth paying attention to decorative hosts. The bare skeletal branches of the shrub can be supplemented with a variety of colors and the shape of the leaves of the host. Fill the emptiness and create volume will allow thick thickets of large-scale brunner. If there is no confidence that it will be possible to choose a beautiful combination of plants, it is worth putting a dubbouse near coniferous trees or against the background of a well-kept lawn.
To enjoy blossoming for several months, it is worth landing on the plot several varieties of the pot. For example, the Chubuschnik ordinary blooms at the end of May – early June. Will be literally a couple of weeks, and the Chubusnik Cubean will bloom. He will delight the beauty of flowering to the 10th of July. And Lemohansky grade will bloom in all its glory in the middle of the summer.
You can choose neighbors on the site depending on the selected variety of the pot. For example, tree varieties whose height is 3-4 meters, beautifully looks in the neighborhood with small perennials. These are lilies, herbaceous peonies and plants with a spherical shape of the crown. Dwarfs of chubus, the height of which does not exceed one meter, are organically combined with luminous, tree peonies or hibiscus. In the southern latitudes of the favorite composition is the combination of the canbushnik and jasmine.
Frost-resistant, hardy Chubuschnik does not require trepidate care. It’s not difficult to grow it. It will endure and the skillful appeal of the experienced gardener, and inexperienced newcomers. However, compliance with the rules for the care of it will allow to achieve chic flowering and rapid growth. Each of them should be considered in more detail.
Jasmine garden feed just once a year late in spring. In the first year after landing, the plant is fed by an organic fertilizer – diluted with the nasty. The solution is made of 1 part of the Court and 10 parts of water. From the second year, the shrub also fertilizes by organic and mineral fertilizers.
Mineral feeding consists of 15 g of urea, 15 g of potassium sulfate and 20 g of superphosphate. All components are bred in a bucket of water. This solution with excess will be enough for two plants. When the Chubuschnik will flash, it is also feeding with mineral drugs. Only 15 g of urea change to 100 g of wood ash, and the amount of superphosphate increases to 30 g. Such a solution is enough for 1 kV. M.
Chubuschnik loves sun rays or bright scattered light. However, young shrubs may suffer from the scorching sun. Burns appear on the leaves, the plant is tagged, yellowing and drops foliage. To prevent unpleasant consequences, seedlings should be given in the first week after landing. And if the summer was especially hot, it is worth taking care of the shading of young plants in the peak of solar activity – from 12 to 16 hours.
Shrub is able to withstand frosts up to -35 degrees, so it takes peace even in the most severe climatic conditions. He is withstanding moderately cold winters, can survive cool or not very hot summer.
But if tropical heat is installed in the region, the gardener should organize the optimal watering regime of culture.
This shrub does not like to overwhelm, but at the same time he negatively reacts to a long drought. The leaves are withering, blamed and lose their decorative appearance. In order not to introduce a plant into a state of stress, you should pour 20-30 liters of water once a week. During the flowering period, the Chubuschnik needs daily watering. Immediately after it, the soil around the plant should be exploded, weeds – we can rinse. To prevent the evaporation of precious moisture, you should mulch the top layer of soil straw or hay.
The CUBUBUS will delight the beauty of the crown and lush bloom if the gardener will cut it every year. In the fall, after flowering, all dry, old and sick branches are removed, as well as branches that thicken the shrub crown. Once every 3 years cut the old shoots. An early spring is performed by rejuvenating trimming. You should select several trunks and cut them to a height of 30 cm. The remaining stalks are completely cut. Sections are processed by a garden boiler, and the rolling circle is mounted.
In the period of active growth and flowering, the shrub is not allowed to cut.
If necessary, the canbushnik can be transplanted from one place to another or sear a rapidly born shrub. This plant is valuable in that not only young seedlings, but also adult trees. Regardless of the age of plants they are transplanted after preliminary training. To properly prepare the Chubusnik to the transplant, follow these steps:
- Perform trimming: the crown is cut by a third, and the side shoots are completely removed;
- A fossa for transplanting should be carefully prepared by adding the necessary fertilizers to it and water bay;
- The roots of the digged bush are treated with “root”, and the crown is a weak solution of manganese (it must have a pale pink solution);
- The bush is placed in the prepared hole, fall asleep the earth and pour out abundantly.
It is better to transplant it in the fall in September-October or in the spring until the kidneys revealed. However, experienced gardeners insist on the autumn time of the year, since during this period the plant and the necessary fertilizers without any hurry can be prepared. If everything is done correctly, for 3-4 years after the transplant of the Chubuschnik will get enough.
For the winter, the plant does not cover. Even if harsh frosts damage individual shoots, they are cut off in spring, and the shrub grows again. In the cold season, he does not care for him. These simple rules relate to both adults and young plants.
Possible problems in growing
Chubuschnik is considered one of the most resistant to plant diseases. He can pick up the fungal disease only from a negligent owner who does not cut the old shoots and does not heat the crown. Both ensures air exchange and protects the leaves from spotting and rust. If the fungus still appeared, the plant should be immediately made by appropriate drugs.
It is much more serious about pests. Sheet weevils, wave and web testers harm adult plants and can destroy a young seedling. Ways to deal with parasites depend on the degree of defeat. If the colony of pests is small, the solution of the economic soap or manganese will help. It is worth spraying a plant with tobacco infusion or mustard powder. If the moment is missed and beetles are sitting on each branch, you should purchase chemical insecticide in the store.
Often, newcomers allow mistakes when leaving the plant, and then surprised why it does not bloom. He has 5 reasons.
- Shrub can “live” due to excess nitrogen, and then the gardener must revise the composition of mineral feeding.
- Chubuschnik may suffer from lack of sunlight. In this case, a transplant.
- If the owner has moved with a spring trimming, a bush can be all his strength to restore shoots.
- If last year’s trimming after flowering fell at the end of August, young shoots just did not have time to form new kidneys.
- Finally, the canchousenik may suffer from lack of moisture. As a rule, this reason is confirmed by yellowing and leaf twisting. In this case, the gardener must adjust the watering mode and give the plants the missing moisture.
Only subject to proper attention and care in the country will grow a strong and healthy plant.
