Motoblocks “Cascade” proven themselves from the best side. But even these reliable and unpretentious devices sometimes fail. Owners are very important to determine the causes of the failure, to figure out whether it will be possible to solve the problem on their own or not.
The block does not work or works unstable
It is logical to start the analysis of the possible breakdowns from such a situation: the motoblock “Cascade” starts and immediately stalls. Or stopped starting at all. The following reasons are most likely:
- an excess of gasoline (the humidity of the candle speaks about it);
- In models with an electrical starter, the problem often lies in the discharge of the battery;
- The total power of the motor is insufficient;
- There was a failure in the silencer.
The solution of each of these problems is quite simple. So, if there is a lot of gasoline in the benzobak, the cylinder is necessarily dried. After that, the motor-block is a manual starter. Important: Before this, the candle must be died and dried too. If the manual starter works, and there is no electric, it means that you should charge or replace the battery.
If the engine lacks power for normal operation, it is necessary to repair it. To reduce the likelihood of such a breakdown, it is necessary to apply only gasoline of impeccable quality. Sometimes the carburetor filter is clogged due to bad fuel. It is possible to clean it, but better – again we repeat – to perceive such an event correctly and stop saving on a merry.
Sometimes the KBB-5 carburetor adjustment is required. Such devices are put on lightweight motoblocks. But because the importance of their work does not decrease. After the repair of the carburetor failed, only suitable gasoline brands should be used to wash separate parts. Attempts to remove contamination with the help of a solvent will be wrapped by deformation of rubber parts and washers.
Collect the device must be as careful. Then the bends and damage to parts will be excluded. The smallest parts of the carburetors are purified by a thin wire or steel needle. Be sure to check after the assembly, whether the float chamber and the main body are tightly. And it should also be estimated, there are no problems with air filters, does the fuel leaks arise.
The actual adjustment of the carburetors is carried out either in the spring when the motoblock is first rolled out after the “winter vacation”, or in the fall, when the device has already worked for a very long time. But sometimes this procedure is resorted to another time, trying to eliminate the shortcomings. A typical sequence of steps is as follows:
- heating the motor in 5 minutes;
- wrapping to the limit of adjusting bolts of the smallest and largest gas;
- twisting them by one and a half turn;
- installation of gear levers to the smallest move;
- Setting small revolutions using throttle;
- unscrewing (non-imminent) gas screw for the problem of idling – with a continuously running motor;
- engine jumper;
- Evaluation of the quality of adjustment by new launch.
To exclude errors in the process of setting the carburetor, you need to check each step with the instruction manual. When the work is performed normally, extraneous noises in the motor will not appear. Especially the failures will be excluded in any of the working regimes. Then it will be necessary to observe the sounds that make a motoblock. If they differ from the norm, you need a new adjustment.
Problems with manual starter
Sometimes there is a need to replace the starter spring or even the entire device as a whole. Spring itself placed around the axis of the drum. The task of this spring is the refund of the drums at its original position. If the mechanism is careful and do not twitch it overly actively, the device works quietly for years. If the breakdown occurs, you must first remove the washer located in the middle of the drum housing.
Then remove the lid and carefully examine all the details. ATTENTION: It is better to prepare a box in which removed parts will be laid out. There are a lot of them, besides, they are small. After repair it will be necessary to install back everything, otherwise the starter will stop working at all. In most cases, it is necessary to replace the spring or cord, but the conclusion about this can be done only with visual inspection.
Although the “Cascade” motoblocks are equipped with strong cords, it is still impossible to exclude a break. But if the cord is relatively simple, then when replacing the spring, you need to follow so that the connecting hooks are not damaged. When replacing the starter, the entire filter covers the flywheel. This allows you to get to the inner parts of the device. Removing the casing, unscrew the retaining screws.
The following steps are:
- unscrewing the nut and removing the flywheel (sometimes you have to use a wrench);
- revealing the key;
- Installing the generator with the wiring institution into the holes on the wall of the motor;
- placement of magnets in the middle of the flywheel;
- connection of parts for fastening bolts;
- Installation of the crown (if necessary – with a burner);
- Return a node in the engine, screwing the key and the nut;
- Installation of a mechanism basket;
- fixing insulating casing and filter;
- starter installation;
- Connecting wires and terminals to the battery;
- Trial launch to test system performance.
Ignition System Problems
If there is no spark, as already mentioned, you should carefully check the battery. When everything is in order with him, examine contacts and insulation quality. In many cases, the absence of sparks is due to clogging of the ignition system. If everything is clean, they look at the contact, connecting the main electrode and the candle cap. And then check the consistent electrodes, estimating whether there is a gap between them.
Special dipstick will allow you to determine whether this gap corresponds to the recommended value (0.8 mm). Remove the Nagar, accumulated on the insulator and metal items. Check the candle so that there are no oil spots. All of them must be removed. Pulling out the starter cable, dry the cylinder. If all these steps did not help, you will have to change the candles.
This procedure is carried out only on the cooled motor. The metal extended from heating will not allow it correctly and neatly. Waiting for approximately 3 or 4 hours. It is recommended to first blow the engine of the jet of compressed air, and ideally – wash it. Disconnecting the wires from the candles, unscrew the bolts from the resonator. The resonator itself will have to be removed, while acting as much as possible to remain on the spot.
Disconnect PCV valve and gur bolt. With the help of the rounds dismantle the ventilation head of the block. Unscrew the bolts fixing the cover of this head. Thoroughly wipe everything to eliminate pollution. Clean the crop cover.
Rotate wheels to the left until the stop. Remove the nut from the crankshaft, the tree itself turns strictly counterclockwise. Now you can explore the valves and measure the gaps between them. For adjustment weaken the lock nut and turn the screw, seeking slipping of the probe into the gap with a minor force. After tightening the locknut, you need to evaluate the gap again to eliminate its change during the tightening process.
Working with gearbox (gearbox)
Sometimes need to fix the speed switch. The glands change when malfunctions are made immediately. First clean the cutters located on the shaft. Clean them from all pollution. Remove the lid, unscrewing bolts. Put a removable gland, as needed, handle a connector with a portion of sealant.
Sometimes on the “Cascade” motoblocks need replacement belts. Usually it is resorted to it if the tension cannot be adjusted due to strong wear or complete break. IMPORTANT: only those belts that are adapted to a specific model are suitable for replacement. If you put unsuitable components, they will quickly be worn out. Before replacing, turn off the motor, putting it to zero.
Remove insulating casing. Worn straps are cleaned, and if they are extremely stretched – cut off. Removing the outer pulley, stretch the belt to the remaining inside the pulley. Return the item in place. Carefully check that the belt does not turn out to be twisted. Put back the casing.
Very often have to disassemble the starting mechanism to get rid of its faults. Problem springs Replace optional. Sometimes just annealed with burners the tip of the part. Then the file is reproduced with a file. Then the attachment of the spring and the drum node comes to normal. It is wound on the drum, lay the free edge into the socket on the fan body and centers the starter drum.
Clean the “Ugings”, take the drum counterclockwise, release the stretched spring. Combine the holes of the fan and drum. Insert a starting cord with handle, tie a node on the drum; The stretch of the released drum hold the handle. Starting cord change similarly. Important: All these works are easier to perform together.
If the gear shift handle broke, a spinning head is removed from it, knocking the pin. Twisting the screw, remove the bushing and locking spring. Then remove the remaining parts that interfere with the repair. Replace only problem parts of the gearbox without disassembling the entire device. Also come when you need to remove the ratchet.
If the shaft flew out, then only devices with a suitable length, diameter, number of teeth and sprockets are acquired to replace. When the revolutions regulator hires (either, on the contrary, it is unstable), you need to twist the screw defining the amount of the mixture. As a result, the drop of revolutions will cease to be a sharp, forcing the regulator to break the choke.
