Malina Mary’s grade is derived by Ukrainian breeders in 1987. This is a special variety having both dignity and deficiencies in growing. Some factors should consider gardeners.

Description of varieties

Malina Mary’s bush strong, straight, height he reaches 170-180 cm. Has rectifying brown shoots. Large leaves in size, leaf plate is dense, has a light floor, wrinkled. On the shoots are small spikes.

Timing of ripening

Maria refers to varieties with an average maturation. Berries can be collected 3-4 times from the beginning of June approximately within a month.

The result of harvest is approximately 4 t / ha. Gardeners note that even if it is somewhat neglected with growing, then the harvest quality will not change.

Berries and their taste

Fruits have a purple color, berries are large, the right shape, their weight is about 8 g. The pulp of the taste is sweet, characterized by a pronounced fragrance. Fruits can be used both in fresh form and for cooking jam, pies, juice and other culinary products.

The advantage of the variety is to preserve the flavor of the berries at the time of the exhaust harvest. In addition, the fruits have long retained commodities and have good transportability.

Features of cultivation

When deciding to plant a variety of Maria on the site, take into account a number of factors.

  • This raspberry is not supported to the composition of the soil, so do not waste forces at this stage.

  • One of the advantages of Mary is a small amount of frightened, that is, the bush will not crawl down the site. This moment is worth considering when choosing a seat under the landing and in reproduction.

  • The variety is characterized by high resistance in front of pests and fungal diseases.

  • It is undesirable to grow such raspberries in the southern regions. Despite viability in all conditions, this variety does not tolerate heat. At a temperature of more than +25 degrees, the leaves begin to curl, the bush fades. Fruits start under the influence of the Sun. Therefore, the grade is recommended for cultivation in the middle lane.

Choosing a place and soil preparation

Landing start in early spring. At the same time, since the autumn it is important to move the plot and make the organic and wood ash. And also do not forget about the removal from the ridge of weeds. As mentioned, the plant does not endure the heat, so choose a place in the shade.

Typically, the raspberry of this variety is recommended to plant ribbons at a distance of 70-90 cm from each other, the ranks are located at a distance of 150-200 cm. If the variety is planted in an industrial farm, then there should be at least 250 cm. After planting the plants, they wipe well and make a mulch.

In the spring period should be removed damaged during the winter branch. They are cut to the first live bud. Throughout the summer, you need to clean the bush from the root row, but usually this process does not take much time – the grade is not inclined to grow. In the fall, it is allowed to leave 7-8 relegations of substitution, and the rest of the stems are better to eliminate – the yield of a strong thickened bush can be reduced.

Watering and feeding

This variety has high drought resistance (not to be confused with heat resistance!) Nevertheless, he speaks well to moisturizing. In watering, this culture needs about once a week, and that – if the earth managed to dry. To save moisture in the ground it is recommended to use mulching.

If the bush landed in loam, then it can not feed the first 5 years. If the soil is not too fertile, then the following types of fertilizers can be used:

  • Early spring will be useful will be nitrogenous food, also do not neglect phosphorus, potassium, calcium;

  • once summer relevant bird litter or divorced korovyan.

Frost resistance and preparation for winter

Raspberry Mary has high frost resistance, it can withstand the temperature -30.35 degrees. To the bush easier to survive this period, you need to untie the branches from the wire, burn to the ground and hide the agricultural. The more snow will be, the better the plant takes the winter.

The grade gives a maximum of 5 replacement shoots per year, so it is characterized by a slow reproduction process. To increase the roasting strokes, it is allowed to carry out the roots in a radius of 50 cm, this manipulation activates the development of new shoots.

It is also possible to breed the division of the bush. To do this, an adult strong copy is removed by the central part and divide on separate seedlings, which plant for new sections. On old roots left at the same place, new shoots will also begin to develop.

To get seedlings you can try to propagate the culture of stalking. To do this, highlight cuttings with 2-3 kidneys, sprinkle them horizontally, cover the straw layer. In the spring, remove the mulch. Usually just over half of the cuttings are rooted.
