Polish variety of raspberry Lychka is also known as Lyashka. Breeders brought universal culture, the fruits of which have gained widespread use. They can become a delicious and useful snack or dessert ingredient.
Description of varieties
Semi-staples reach a height of 2.5 m, more reminding berry trees. Shoot straight, powerful, but at the same time elastic. The mid-grade plant is covered with numerous and small spikes. Leaves are published at the edges, have an oval shape and teeth. Color from them saturated green. If shrubs do not cut, the top of the plant will end with a stem, bent under its own weight. During flowering on a shrub, small white flowers appear, which are collected in the brush.
Timing of ripening
Malina Lychka – repairing grade, so it fruits several times per season. The first berries are kept early. The period of fruiting falls on June-July (the exact date depends on the characteristics of the climate) and continues to the first frosts.
Yield at this garden culture is high. With constant care from one plant, 3 to 5 kilograms of fruits are obtained from 3 to 5 kilograms. With commercial cultivation, the volume of crop reaches 20 tons with hectares of plantation. Mature raspberries has high transportability.
Berries and their taste
Coloring color: bright red and with raspberry. The form is an oval or an elongated triangle. In weight, the fruits are gaining from 6 to 8 grams with a length of 3-5 cm, but there are also instances of authentic. Sizes in berries large. Stems covered with wax raid.
The taste of mature fruits is sweet, with pleasant tonic notes. Meat juicy and moderately dense. Fruits are suitable for processing or freezing. Due to the high density of raspberries, it remains shape with long-term storage or transportation. Without a refrigerator to store berries for the day.
Features of cultivation
Breaks of breeders grade Lychka got frost resistance above average. At the same time, Raspberries negatively reacts to drought. Repairing grade needs a sufficient number of sunlight, otherwise the berries will be acidic. When laying the Malinnik, it is necessary to calculate the correct amount of free space (between the rows – 1.5 meters, shrubs – 0.5 meters). Also raspberry need good watering and trimming.
The landing of the Polish variety is not much different from the cultivation of other types of raspberries. Shrubs feel comfortable in loose and wet soil, which provides oxygen access to the roots of the plant. Can not be allowed moisture. Dampness affects the health and fruction of raspberries. Lychka is especially demanding of the chemical composition of the soil. Fruit culture needs a large volume of nutrients. Therefore, shrubs feed. Often use compositions with nitrogen content.
Choosing a place and soil preparation
The plot for the future Malinik should be quite spacious and sunny. An additional advantage will be the protection of the territory from drafts and cold winds. For landing in the spring time, you should prepare in advance and install the set. Gardeners are recommended to have seedlings dual rows, in the direction from the north to south.
When landing seedlings, the holes are measured by 40x40x40 centimeters. So that the plant does not fail, there are a small holmik on the day, to which a young shrub is installed. Roots gently spread. Growth point should be located 3-4 centimeters above the level of soil. At the end of landing, the land takes carefully, and the plants are abundant. The land around the plants is mounted using overwhelmed manure, sawdust or straw. Mulch helps maintain the desired moisture level, does not give plants to suffer from severe heat or drought. Also this is an additional feeding, which gradually feeds the Earth with useful trace elements.
The first time the plants are cut with autumn landing. Branches are shortened at the soil level. So the roots are easy to come true, and the green top is not amazed by fungal infections.
In the first year, weakened shoots are removed in early May. Thus, the number of plants on the plot is limited (10-12 stems per square meter). Next time work is carried out after harvesting, in about early August. The shoots that have been cleaned completely, leaving only young branches until one year. Green shoots also thin, keeping the interval in 15-20 centimeters between them.
For the second year, the plants will be faster from the winter hibernation, shoots and shorten the tops for 10-15 centimeters. After the procedure you need to tie the shoot to the wire to the sleeper. Branches that have already replicated, delete in late July or early August. Wailed shoots cut off under root.
Watering and feeding
With the irrigation of the Malinnik, you need to properly dispense the amount of moisture. The temperature frequency is strongly affected by temperature. Excess moisture is destroyed for the plant, and the lack leads to a deterioration in the quality of fruits. With regular precipitation, plantation does not pour. The plant especially needs moisture after flowering and during the filling of berries. It is recommended to carry out moderate watering. High efficiency demonstrates drip watering system.
Watering is often combined with filtering. Organic and inorganic compounds containing nitrogen, use early spring when you need to grow a lush green mass. In 10 liters of water dissolve 2 tablespoons of urea. Also Malina need mineral fertilizers. Instead of finished compositions, you can sprinkle soil wood ash. It is scattered in the root zone, and the top layer of the soil is a little loose.
Frost resistance and preparation for winter
In the regions with a frosty climate, the Lychka grade easily passed due to high frost resistance. Shrubs carry freezes up to 30 degrees below zero, but additional measures will be optional as prophylaxis. Shoots bind to beams and pressed to the ground. Under the thick snow cover, the plant will continue until next year.
Diseases and pests
Polish variety rarely suffers from traditional diseases and pest attacks. Strong congenital immunity does not give plants to suffer from adverse weather conditions. So that the Malinik does not hurt, there should be enough free space between the plants. It is also important to cut forward plants and clean them from weak and broken shoots.
Lychah grade shrubs form a large number of root offspring. With their help you can quickly grow young and healthy shrubs. So that shrubs are fully developed, it is necessary to get rid of excessive stones until it exceeded the mark of 15-25 centimeters.
Some daches recommend rooting green cuttings or multiply the plantation by the division of the bush. Such methods are rarely used, but they still have the right to exist. These reproduction options are chosen by lack of planting material. Ready seedlings can be bought in special nurseries, where shrubs are grown for sale.
