The collections of vegetable and fruit-berry crops in private gardeners contain not only modern results of selection achievements, but also varieties with no one dozen years, from those that can be safely attributed to the category Retro. Gooseberry Black Negus is known from the first half of the twentieth century on the territory of the Moscow region, the middle strip, the Leningrad region. Despite the fact that the variety is considered universal, and can be in a fresh form, the most common way to use it is canned in the form of compotes, jams, and also prepare excellent wine.
History of removal
The author of the Black Nehus became Ivan Vladimirovich Michurin, who received him as a result of crossing grades of dyeing and anibut. Due to excessive eyeguds, the gooseberry did not receive production distribution, but became a magnificent source for obtaining sphere-resistant varieties.
Description of varieties
A high-resistant bush of a spherical shape reaches 150-200 cm height, in an adult may be even higher. Thick durable shoots are covered with long large double and triple spikes located in each of the interstices, which allows you to use it as a living hedge. Branches are covered with gentle bright green three-pinned leaves attached to long thin stiffs. The plate plate is dim, weakly arrest with the sutured surface, along the edges covered with small cloths. A sprawling bush can have a diameter of up to three meters wide.
Characteristic of berries
Rounded-oval medium-sized berries weighing from 3.5 to 5.7 g painted in dark purple, almost black color with a well-visible sun, reddish tint. Thin, but durable skin reliably protects fruits from cracking and provides transportability for long distances, occupying in time until 15-23 days. The berry is not inclined to sprinkle, and is able to stay on the bushes until late autumn, rich in vitamins and microelements:
Vitamins C, B, P, A and others;
trace elements – calcium, manganese, potassium, iodine, iron, copper, zinc.
In addition, in the composition of the Berry of the Black Nehus, an increased number of anthocyanions, pectins, folic and ascorbic acids.
Juicy dense pulp has a dessert sour and sweet taste and strongly pronounced aroma. The variety has earned a tasting rating of 4.63-4.74 points out of 5 possible.
Ripening and fruiting
The variety refers to the average category, harvest is collected at the end of July – early August. Springness of a variety – 2-3 years after landing. The duration of the productive period reaches 20 years or more under the condition of proper agricultural engineering.
Black Negub is considered to be a high-yielding variety – from 3.5 to 6.8 kg from the bush, with a stable annual fruiting.
The variety is adapted for middle strip of the Russian Federation.
The plant is planted in autumn and spring, however, preference is given to autumn pore, 1.5 months before the onset of cold. This time is enough so that the root system manage to fix. The most viable is the plants of two or three years. Place for planting Choose solar, permissible mild half, but the grade does not tolerate the proximity of the groundwater and low-spirited wetlands, since such a neighborhood threatens the appearance of root rot.
As for the soil composition, the Black Negub does not make special requirements for the soil, but it is best to develop on sampling or drum soils with neutral acidity. The plot is prepared two weeks before landing, exposing it to cleaning the roots during the rescue, as well as the enrichment of the organic (compost, humid), superphosphate and potash fertilizers, wood ashol.
The size of the planting pit is 50x50x50 cm, heavy earth should be loosen with river sand. Distance between bushes 1.5 meters. The roots are soaked for a while in the solution of stimulants and the root of the formator in accordance with the instructions. When landing the root neck is plugged at 5-6 cm, the soil is compacted and wipes well. The next day, the Earth must be disappeared or immediately covered with a thick layer of peat mulch. There are no more than 5 kidneys on shoots, everything else is cut.
Growing and care
Further care lies in timely irrigation in the first year, with the exception of rainy pores, when there is enough natural moisture. In the future, the bushes are watered 5-6 times per season, especially during the bootonization and ripening of fruits. The gooseberry does not like the upper watering, so it is best to carry out irrigation under the root or drip.
Undercores begin on the third year, entering the soil of the priority circle Superphosphate, potash, phosphoric fertilizers, organic and nitrogen.
The prosecution of the variety to the formation of a set of shoots leads to thickening, so forming and sanitary trimming is necessary. The optimal time for the procedure is autumn, although the spring bushes are also verified for the presence of dried, damaged and not overwhelmed shoots. In the fall removed extra branches growing inside, damaged and affected, as well as broken, weak, curved and horizontal shoots, unless it is planned to obtain. The right bush of 4 or 6 years should consist of 30 strong stems, no more.
After 6 years, the bush enters the time of aging, and since now, annual rejuvenating procedures are needed – all branches over 6-8 years are subject to mandatory removal. On the third and fourth year, they begin to remove root shoots, allowing you to develop only a few, the most stronger trunks. For trimming, you should use an acute secator so that the sections remain smooth, convenient to the processing of garden borants. Spanish powerful bushes need supports. Wooden backup frames are built around single bushes, if the bushes grow row along the boundary of the site, then organize a sleeper.
Resistance to diseases and pests
The variety has a strong immunity, which is much popular in breeding work. Black Negub is distinguished by high resistance to mildew, septorize, anthracnosis. Almost not amazed by fungal diseases.
Resistance to adverse climatic conditions
The grade has a good winter hardiness and the ability to quickly adapt to adverse weather conditions.
