How to mount?
After purchasing polycarbonate, the buyer is often puzzled, whether to clean the plastic sheet from the film. The correct answer is the recommendation to remove the film immediately after the installation to avoid problems in the future. This is a transport film covering sheets during transportation and during storage, so it must be removed when subsequent transportation is not planned.
Some daches take for a protective layer from UV that is the transport film. Leaving it on the panels, they subjected the material to the destructive influence of the Sun. It is worth knowing that the UV layer is invisible – it will not be able to use it. Therefore, it is not necessary to be afraid by chance by inexperience to remove unnecessary. If the film from the outside of the sheet remains unmount, it will firmly decay to the top of the material, and after removing it will be simply unreal. Moreover, the film outside on the canvas threatens the preservation of a layer protecting from ultraviolet. In winter, an incomparable film will be detaining snow.
This reduces the strength of sheets and reduces their life.
When installing is also important to take into account the ability of polycarbonate to respond to temperature differences. In hot weather and in the cold, standard polycarbonate demonstrates deviations from the initial width of 1 cm and more. If the sheet is tightly fixed on the frame, the appearance of cracks is inevitable, followed by the destruction of the material. So that it does not happen, the holes for the self-tapping screw should be 3-4 mm to exceed the diameter of the self-tapping screw. This will warn the material damage when it changes in the process of thermal expansion. It is important not to screw the bolts excessively, otherwise you can deform the sheet.
Also impossible to exercise the material more of the required norm. Each type of polycarbonate is characterized by certain flexibility and specific indicators of the minimum bending radius. If you bend the leaf is stronger than the allowable, turning when transporting or folding on arched structures, the polycarbonate will burst with the first thermal expansion, the tightness will break.
